Dowie? and how do they teach Restorationism? How are they involved in modern day Pentecostalism? Join me today on #ApologeticsTogether for the lessons on The Origins and Teachings of Modern Pentecostalism Sign up at www.lutherangirl.org OR Message me for the Zoom Link. If we don't learn from History...

This week, in my Monday #ApologeticsTogether FREE Apologetics course, we finished The Panarion where we learned about dozens of heresies from the first 4 centuries of the Church, many of which are still around. Then, we shifted to learning about the Trinity and its greatest defender, St. Athanasius. This series will go for about four (4) more weeks and I encourage you to watch Part 1 and then join us, via ZOOM (email for link at drnancyalmodovar@gmail.com )on Mondays at 2pm

    The Medicine Cabinet?

Monday's #ApologeticsTogether Class will begin with a whole new series on the Panarian, or Medicine Cabinet. While this is now a rare find, and can be an expensive book, I have found a link to one edition on archive.org. https://archive.org/details/PanarionEpiphaniusCOMPLETE_201905 Use that to begin reading this ancient text on the heresies of Christianity that developed by the 4th Century. You will find that there really is 'nothing new under the sun...' Our Class is FREE

Has it been 3 years already?

Three years ago today, Bobby (my hubby) and I became officially Lutheran as we were received into membership with Faith Lutheran Church-LCMS. I mentioned to a sweet sister in Christ last night that it seems as if we've always been Lutheran and yet, it still seems new. I will not forget my past, 20 years in Pentecostalism/Charismatic teachings and then 10 as a Dutch Reformed gal. Though there is much I need to un-learn, still more to re-learn and mostly I need to learn from

    It's been a while

First, I apologize that it has been a while since I've blogged. With computer issues it became difficult to post the Apologetics Together Videos and I've been busy in the garden....which brings me to this post. In thinking about Apologetics sometimes one may wonder why even bother. Why defend the faith? Why discuss, debate and defend? After all, a lion needs no defending, right? (Charles Spurgeon said something about that...) If we applied that type of thinking to any oth
