What are the Lutheran Confessions?
The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod accepts the Scriptures as the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and the LCMS subscribes unconditionally to all the symbolical books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as a true and unadulterated statement and exposition of the Word of God.
We accept the Lutheran Confessions as articulated in the Book of Concord of 1580 because they are drawn from the Word of God, and on that account we regard their doctrinal content as a true and binding exposition of Holy Scripture and as authoritative for all pastors, congregations and other rostered church workers of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. If you have questions about Lutheranism, please feel free to contact us here at Lutheran Girl Apologetics at lutherangirl1@gmail.com OR contact a local LCMS Lutheran Pastor via the Church Locator here.
The purpose of Lutheran Girl Apologetics is to be a vehicle through which Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod members are educated in defending the faith, equipped to answer the questions of skeptics and encouraged to engage in conversation about the Christian faith as expressed in Scripture and through the Lutheran Confessions.
We seek to do this through the following ways:
1) Blogs: To share the differences between the modern Christians and the historic Christian Faith as expressed best through the Lutheran Confessions
2) Apologetics Together Zoom Classes: These are weekly online zoom classes offered free to all with a Lutheran theological approach to defending and proclaiming the Christian Faith.
3) Apologetics Today Seminars: Regional one-day workshops in cooperation with local LCMS Pastors at local churches teaching members about apologetics and how to engage your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and social circle with the reasons to believe the Gospel and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins.
